Ministry signs deals with investors of Northern Sea Route’s projects
VLADIVOSTOK, Jul 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Far East and Arctic Development Ministry signed binding agreements with the key investors of the projects along the Northern Sea Route, Far East Development Minister Alexei Chekunkov said on Thursday.
“The ministry signed agreements with the key investors. Rosneft, which is developing the Vostok Oil project, under which in 2030 up to 100 million tonnes of oil will be exported along the route, Novatek…, Norilsk Nickel…Gazprom Neft… KAZ minerals, which is developing copper and gold deposits… and Northern Star, which is developing a coal deposit,” he said.
The projects should provide up to 95% of the cargo transported along the Northern Sea Route, which in 2024 will exceed 80 million tonnes, Chekunkov added.
